Qatar Airways has become the first airline worldwide to equip Boeing 7878 aircraft with Starlink satellite internet while completing the rollout of the service across its Airbus A350 fleet. Nearly 120 widebody aircraft now operate with high-speed connectivity, covering over half of the long haul fleet. Since introducing Starlink in late 2024, more than 11 million passengers have accessed free gate to gate Wi-Fi, supporting streaming, video calls, and work. Navi Mumbai International Airport Ltd (NMIAL) has proposed telecom infrastructure charges for service providers that align closely with rates at Mumbai International Airport (MIAL). The move aims to standardise pricing for in building solutions (IBS) and improve passenger connectivity. Telecom companies and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) have raised concerns, citing high costs and restrictions on right-of-way (RoW). GMR Aero Cargo & Logistics has launched India's first airside reefer truck at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, enhancing the handling of temperature-sensitive cargo. The truck, capable of maintaining temperatures between +2C and +25C, ensures cold-chain integrity during transfers between the cargo terminal and aircraft. It is suited for pharmaceuticals, fresh produce, meat, dairy, seafood, and flowers. Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, recorded strong growth in 2025, with passenger traffic rising 8 per cent year-on-year to 43.82 million.
