Chennai Metro arm to prepare feasibility report for ropeway transport in Udhagamandalam

The study, to be carried out by consultants Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, Bengaluru, and Switzerland-based Outdoor Engineers AG, has a contract value of about INR 96.63 lakh and is expected to take 120 days to complete. The assessment will cover technical feasibility, route alignment, potential ridership, and environmental and social impacts, as well as traffic-management proposals for the hill station.
