Delhi Airport reopens runway to ease congestion, ILS work to resume in June

Delhi airport's runway RW 28/10, which was temporarily closed for maintenance, resumed operations earlier this week. The closure, initially intended for a longer duration to upgrade the Instrument Landing System (ILS), caused disruptions due to congestion and adverse weather conditions. As a result, the maintenance work has been paused, with plans to resume in mid-June. The airport authority, Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), expressed confidence that the runway's reopening would streamline operations and improve passenger experience. Himachal Pradesh secures funding for 3,123 km of rural roads under PMGSY-III

Himachal Pradesh has secured approval for the construction of 3,123 kilometres of rural roads and 43 bridges under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)-III, with a total cost of INR 3,345.81 crore. The state's Public Works Minister, Vikramaditya Singh, revealed that the expenditure under PMGSY for 2024-25 exceeded the allocated INR 650 crore, reaching INR 905 crore. As a result, the state has requested the Central Government to increase the allocation to INR 1,300 crore for the 2025-26 financial year. Efforts on PMGSY-IV are also progressing, with 1,115 habitations deemed eligible for development.Read more
