H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd has been declared the lowest bidder for a major National Highways Authority of India project in Odisha. The company quoted INR 1,582.11 crore against the estimated cost of INR 1,827.33 crore for constructing Package III of the Capital Region Ring Road under the Hybrid Annuity Mode. The 40.33 km six-lane access-controlled corridor will connect Gobindpur on NH-55 to Tangi near the Bandola Toll Plaza on NH-16. Maruti Suzuki India Limited has secured registration under Verra's Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) for its in-plant railway siding at the Gujarat manufacturing facility, making it the world's first modal shift transportation project to receive this recognition. By shifting vehicle dispatches from road to rail, the company expects to generate nearly 1.7 lakh carbon credits over a 10-year crediting period.
