ACME Solar Holdings has been awarded a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy project by Tata Power-D under a 250 MW FDRE tender at a tariff of INR 4.43 per unit. Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has announced the creation of seven new municipalities and 16 Notified Area Councils (NACs) to strengthen urban governance and infrastructure. Former NACs including Karanjia, Boudh, Bhanjanagar, Aska, Chhatrapur, Kabisuryanagar, and Polasara have been upgraded to municipalities, while new NACs have been formed in districts such as Balangir, Cuttack, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Koraput, Jajpur, Khurda, and Mayurbhanj. With this expansion, Odisha now has 143 urban local bodies, comprising 54 municipalities, 83 NACs, and six municipal corporations. The Maharashtra government has approved land acquisition for the INR 80,000 crore Maharashtra-Goa Shaktipeeth Expressway, a project aimed at promoting tourism, transport, and rural development across 12 districts. NCRTC, in partnership with the Uttar Pradesh government, is preparing master plans to combine housing and commercial development with the 82-km Delhi-Meerut rapid rail corridor. Sardar Baug, a heritage garden in Ahmedabad, has been reopened to the public after a complete restoration carried out by UNM Foundation under its PRATITI initiative. Once known for its orchards and gatherings of freedom fighters, the garden had fallen into decline over the decades. The restoration has revived both its cultural and ecological identity with features such as a walking track, children's play area, amphitheatre, rose garden, and water bodies.
