Qatar Airways has expanded its global network to over 150 destinations under a revised summer schedule aimed at handling peak travel demand. The plan includes new routes and increased frequencies through its Doha hub, improving connectivity across regions. The airline has also introduced flexible travel options, allowing passengers to change dates without fees or opt for refunds under certain conditions. This move follows a steady restoration of routes over the past year and reflects efforts to strengthen operations while maintaining reliability during the high-traffic summer period.
Qatar Airways has expanded its global network to more than 150 destinations as part of its revised summer schedule, which will be implemented from mid-June and continue until mid-September. The update is aligned with the peak travel season and is aimed at improving connectivity across key international markets.
The revised schedule includes the addition of new routes along with an increase in flight frequencies on existing sectors. The airline indicated that these changes are designed to provide better connectivity through its Doha hub, allowing smoother transit options for passengers travelling between Europe, Asia, Africa, and other regions. The move is also expected to support both leisure and business travel demand during the busy summer months.
Passengers holding confirmed bookings are being informed directly about any changes to their itineraries. The airline has advised travellers to keep their contact details updated and regularly check its website or mobile application to stay informed about schedule updates and operational changes.
For passengers travelling during the affected period, the airline has introduced flexible booking options. Travellers can make date changes without additional charges for travel up to October 31, subject to fare conditions and seat availability. In cases where flights are disrupted, passengers remain eligible for further changes without fees within the same validity period. The airline has conveyed that these measures are intended to provide more certainty to travellers amid changing travel conditions.
Refunds for unused ticket values are also being offered, although processing timelines may extend up to 28 working days. Passengers have been advised to travel only if they hold valid confirmed bookings to avoid inconvenience at the airport.
This expansion builds on the airline's gradual recovery strategy over the past year, during which it has restored routes and increased capacity across key corridors. The focus has remained on improving operational stability while responding to rising global travel demand. As a hub-based carrier operating from Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar Airways continues to strengthen its position in long-haul transit travel by expanding network reach and enhancing schedule efficiency.
