Synopsis

State-owned NBCC Ltd has sold around 14 lakh sq ft of commercial space in South Delhi through an e-auction process, with the total transaction value reported at approximately INR 5,779 crore. The development is part of Bharat Business Park in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi, executed on behalf of the government. NBCC will earn a marketing fee of 1% on the overall sale value. The proceeds from such asset monetisation activities are being directed towards redevelopment projects of government residential colonies, which remain a key focus area under its project management mandate.

NBCC Ltd, a state-owned enterprise, has completed the sale of commercial built-up space measuring nearly 14 lakh sq ft at Bharat Business Park in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi, through an e-auction conducted this week. The total sale value of the transaction is about INR 5,779 crore, as disclosed by the company in its regulatory filing.

The company has stated that the commercial space was successfully monetised as part of its ongoing mandate to develop and sell government-owned land parcels in South Delhi. The sale process was carried out on behalf of the government, continuing NBCC's role in managing and monetising select public assets.

As per the disclosure, NBCC will receive a marketing fee equivalent to 1% of the total sale value for facilitating the transaction. This forms part of its revenue model in such redevelopment-linked commercial projects.

NBCC has been actively involved in the redevelopment of government residential colonies and related infrastructure projects, where proceeds from asset monetisation are channelled towards funding large-scale urban renewal initiatives. The company operates as a project management consultancy as well as in the real estate development segment, handling multiple government-backed assignments across key urban locations.

The Bharat Business Park project in Sarojini Nagar is one of the significant commercial developments under this framework, aimed at optimising land use in prime areas of the capital while supporting broader redevelopment goals.
