The initiative was led by its President Sukhraj Nahar and aimed at recognising the importance of these roles in shaping Mumbai's urban and regulatory landscape.


The event was held at Nahar Panorama and brought together key stakeholders from governance, legal, and real estate sectors. It created an environment for discussions around planning, infrastructure, and policy-related challenges impacting Mumbai and the wider MMR region. CREDAI-MCHI highlighted that such engagements help build coordination between decision-makers and industry participants, which is important for smoother project execution and regulatory clarity.

Several senior officials and dignitaries were present at the event. These included former Advocate General Birendra Saraf, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, Environment and Climate Change Secretary Jayshree Bhoj, and Nidhi Chaudhary, among others. Their presence reflected the involvement of administrative and policy-level authorities in discussions related to urban growth.

The developers body was represented by its current leadership along with past presidents and senior members, including Bandish Ajmera and Rushi Mehta. The participation of multiple senior members highlighted continuity in industry representation and ongoing engagement with government authorities on sectoral issues.

Prominent industry professionals also attended the event, including Anuj Puri, architect Hafeez Contractor, and Manju Yagnik. Legal experts such as Dhaval Wasoonji, Dhaval Mehta, Parimal Shroff, and Shailesh Vaidya were also present, indicating a strong legal representation at the gathering. This mix of stakeholders underlined the increasing need for legal clarity and structured governance in real estate development.

The organisation conveyed that the interaction focused on strengthening collaboration between the government and the real estate sector.
