The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) carried out a demolition drive in Sainik Farm, South Delhi, targeting two residential plots located on Western Avenue. The operation took place during early morning hours with police deployment to maintain order. Residents opposed the action, claiming that a valid court stay order was in force and raising concerns over unclear land demarcation and Khasra identification. The Residents Welfare Association termed the move unjustified and unlawful. The incident comes amid ongoing policy discussions around regularisation of unauthorised colonies in Delhi.

The move was strongly opposed by local residents, who claimed that the demolition was executed despite a valid court stay order. The Residents Welfare Association of the area stated that the action lacked justification and raised questions over the land demarcation process used by the authority. They further argued that there was no clear clarity on the Khasra details of the plots, which they said created confusion regarding ownership and classification.
Residents further alleged that the properties affected were privately owned and that the enforcement action was not consistent with the ongoing discussions on regularisation of unauthorised colonies in Delhi. They also pointed out that such drives create uncertainty among homeowners in areas that have long been under regulatory review.
On the other hand, authorities ensured that adequate security arrangements were in place during the operation. Police personnel were deployed at the site to prevent any escalation, and officials maintained that the situation remained under control throughout the drive.
Sainik Farm has remained a disputed locality for several years due to overlapping issues of land use, construction approvals and classification concerns. The area continues to witness periodic enforcement actions, adding to the ongoing debate around legal status and regularisation frameworks in South Delhi.
