Ashiana Housing recently purchased around 8.83 acres of land in Wavarle village, Khalapur taluk, Raigad district, Maharashtra, through an outright transaction with multiple sellers. The company plans to develop a senior living project on this site with an estimated saleable area of 4.50 lakh sq ft, reflecting a focused push into housing designed for older adults.
In a related development, Ashiana Housing announced a collaboration with Epoch Elder Care, which will manage all operational aspects of its Ashiana Care Homes facility in Bhiwadi. The facility will include a 48-bed campus catering to assisted living services and chronic care needs, ensuring specialised support for residents requiring long-term care.
This acquisition adds to Ashiana's growing presence in the senior living segment, which has become a key area of expansion for the company. Over the past year, Ashiana Housing has been actively targeting similar developments in markets like Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi-NCR, combining land acquisitions with operational partnerships to enhance service delivery. The company's senior living initiatives aim to provide safe, comfortable, and well-managed spaces for the elderly, complementing its larger residential portfolio that spans comfort housing, kid-friendly communities, and phased residential projects in cities such as Bhiwadi, Jaipur, Chennai, and Pune.
The Raigad project highlights Ashiana's strategy of integrating infrastructure development with managed care solutions, reflecting the growing demand for specialised housing for India's ageing population. By pairing real estate development with professional elder care management, Ashiana aims to offer a comprehensive solution that addresses both living space and care services for its residents.
