Travel technology platform EaseMyTrip has announced plans to raise up to INR 500 crore to support its expansion in high-potential segments, especially in hotels and holiday services. The company's board has approved, in principle, a proposal to raise funds through equity shares or other eligible securities, subject to necessary approvals.
The capital raise may be executed in one or more tranches using permissible methods under applicable law, including rights issues, qualified institutions placement (QIP), preferential issues, private placement, or other approved channels, following regulatory and shareholder approvals. EaseMyTrip will determine the detailed terms, including the size, structure, and timing, at an appropriate stage based on market conditions and regulations.
The company stated that the proposed fundraising will support growth in hotels and holidays while continuing investments in technology, platform enhancements, and strategic opportunities that align with its long-term business priorities. This approach is intended to provide more flexibility in executing growth initiatives while ensuring disciplined capital allocation.
Nishant Pitti, Founder and CMD of EaseMyTrip, explained that the proposed capital raise is about readiness, giving the company the ability to invest at the right time in technology or strategic opportunities that align with its broader vision, emphasizing that growth must remain healthy and sustainable.
