GG Tronics India Private Limited (GGT), part of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd, has been awarded an INR 433.34 crore contract by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, a government-owned locomotive manufacturer, for the supply and deployment of India's indigenous train collision avoidance system, Kavach. The order includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the on-board equipment in compliance with Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) specifications.

The contract also covers full wiring, harnessing, cabling, and integration with the locomotive systems, ensuring the seamless functioning of the Kavach system. An 11-year annual maintenance contract is included, applicable from the fifth year at 3 percent per annum, according to the agreement. The initial deployment and commissioning are expected to be completed within a year.

GGT has advanced its work on Kavach 4.0 and completed all mandatory safety tests, including protection against signal passing at danger, head-on collisions, rear-end collisions, and speed supervision. The final Independent Safety Assessment is scheduled for February 2026. Amar Kaul, Global CEO and Managing Director of CG Power, highlighted the company's engineering capabilities and focus on indigenous innovation, emphasizing its contribution to India's railway modernisation and safer mobility initiatives.

Headquartered in Bengaluru, GGT specialises in designing, manufacturing, and installing electronic safety embedded signalling systems for the railway sector. The company is a key developer of the Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), also referred to as Automatic Train Protection Systems (IRATPS) or Kavach, which plays a critical role in enhancing railway safety.

This order strengthens GGT's position as a major technology provider in India's railways, reflecting the government's ongoing focus on modernisation and domestic innovation in railway safety systems.
