The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has partnered with fintech firm Ambak to simplify access to affordable housing loans. Under the MoU, DDA will share details of its housing projects, including EWS, LIG, MIG, and HIG categories, while Ambak connects buyers with over 40 lending partners such as banks, NBFCs, and HFCs. Ambak will provide loan facilitation, financial literacy sessions, and marketing support at no cost, deploying a project management team to streamline loan processing and disbursement. This collaboration enhances DDA's 'Sasta Ghar' scheme, offering over 2,600 affordable flats in Narela, Rohini, Manglapuri, Siraspur, and Loknayakpuram, boosting accessibility and convenience.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has taken a significant step to enhance accessibility to affordable housing loans by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ambak, a fintech company specializing in innovative financial solutions. This partnership aims to simplify the home loan process and make affordable housing more accessible across income groups in Delhi, including Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low-Income Groups (LIG), Middle-Income Groups (MIG), and High-Income Groups (HIG).
Under the agreement, DDA will share detailed information about its housing projects with Ambak. In turn, Ambak will facilitate home loan approvals by connecting potential buyers with over 40 lending partners, including public and private sector banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), and housing finance companies (HFCs). This collaboration ensures that buyers have access to a wide range of financial institutions, increasing their chances of securing suitable loans.
Ambak will also assist DDA's outreach and marketing initiatives by deploying its manpower and resources free of cost. The company plans to set up a dedicated project management team to streamline loan application processes, ensuring quick and efficient disbursement for eligible applicants. To further support prospective homeowners, Ambak will organize financial literacy sessions to educate buyers on loan eligibility, repayment plans, and credit management, empowering them to make informed decisions.
A DDA official emphasized that the partnership is designed to address buyers' credit needs while extending the authority's reach to ensure affordable housing benefits all segments of society. Ambak's role extends beyond loan facilitation, as the company has committed to maintaining stringent security protocols to protect personal data shared during the loan process. Additionally, Ambak will actively participate in on-site and off-site marketing campaigns, enhancing the visibility and appeal of DDA's housing projects.
This initiative aligns with the recent launch of phase 2 of DDA's 'Sasta Ghar' housing scheme, which offers over 2,600 affordable flats in key locations across Delhi, including Narela, Rohini, Manglapuri (Dwarka), Siraspur, and Loknayakpuram. By leveraging the strengths of a fintech firm like Ambak, DDA aims to make homeownership more accessible and convenient for residents across all income levels.
The collaboration is expected to significantly boost the affordable housing sector in Delhi, addressing the financial barriers that often deter potential buyers. With improved loan access, financial education, and streamlined processes, this partnership promises to bridge the gap between housing availability and affordability, bringing the goal of homeownership within reach for thousands of families in the capital.
