NMMC strengthens water testing with new digital monitoring system

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's Environmental Laboratory, certified under ISO 9001:2015, has introduced a new digital monitoring system for water quality testing. The 'e-System Water Sample Inspection Report and Monitoring System' (WQMS) was launched by Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailash Shinde earlier this week. The laboratory already tests drinking water, wastewater, and private samples, and with this system the entire process from collection to reporting has become digital and transparent. The Commissioner also advised seeking NABL accreditation and expanding testing to cover food vendors.
