Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar conducted an on-site inspection of the Patna Metro Rail Project, emphasizing the need for quality construction and timely completion. He reviewed key facilities, including the Bairiya terminal and Zero Mile station, both nearing completion. The Bairiya terminal is set to serve as a maintenance and operational hub, while the Zero Mile station will offer modern passenger amenities. The CM directed officials to expedite the work and ensure efficient project execution.

During his inspection, the CM visited the Bairiya terminal, where he reviewed metro rail coaches, tracks, yard facilities, the power grid, and other essential infrastructure. Officials explained that this terminal will serve as a halt, maintenance, and cleaning facility for metro trains, along with an administrative building to manage operations efficiently.
The CM also visited the Zero Mile metro station, where Urban Development Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh highlighted the station?s modern features, including escalators, elevators, ticket counters, and accessible pathways for passengers. The station is expected to be commissioned soon, providing convenient travel options for commuters.
Accompanied by key officials, including Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar and Patna Divisional Commissioner Chandrashekhar Singh, Nitish Kumar emphasized the importance of regular inspections to maintain construction quality. He instructed the team to expedite the work and ensure the project adheres to planned timelines.
The Patna Metro Rail Project represents a significant step toward upgrading the city?s transportation infrastructure. Once operational, facilities such as the Bairiya terminal and Zero Mile station will provide enhanced connectivity, modern amenities, and a more efficient commuting experience for residents.
