Recently, the Executive Director of DBS Bank India announced that the bank plans to introduce home loans for the affordable housing sector. The loans will be targeted towards individuals living in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and is likely to be officially available from the last quarter of the current financial year. This decision is in the line with the bank’s larger goal of expanding its retail portfolio. The company also announced a partnership with Indiafilings to provide end-to-end financial services and a proprietary credit card catered to the affluent to be launched in June this year.

Along with introducing home loans, the company is also gearing up to launch proprietary credit card targeted at the affluent and super affluent segments. Presently, the bank offers a co-branded credit card along with Bajaj Finserv which has a customer base of over 2 lac users.
DBS Bank is also tying up with India Fillings, a leading online platform that assists start-ups and small business in India with legal and tax assistance. With this partnership, the bank hopes to be able to provide end-to-end financial services to new companies and start-ups. DBS India and IndiaFilings will provide a free company incorporation process to startups along with a cash back of up to 100 percent on their incorporation cost up to Rs. 8,000 through their co-branded portal.
