Artemis plans to introduce advanced specialty services and expand beyond Delhi NCR, establishing cardiac care centers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. With a strong reputation and revenues exceeding INR 922 crore in FY24, this investment underscores confidence in Artemis' growth strategy and commitment to improving healthcare accessibility nationwide.

Artemis Medicare, a healthcare provider in North India, is set for significant growth with a new investment of INR 330 crore. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, has signed a definitive agreement to provide this funding.

Artemis plans to utilize the investment to increase bed capacity at its existing facilities by at least 200 beds, allowing them to serve more patients. Additionally, they aim to introduce advanced specialty services, further enhancing the quality of care they can provide. This focus on expansion reflects the growing demand for high-quality healthcare in India, especially in areas like cardiac care.

The investment will also fuel Artemis' expansion plans beyond Delhi NCR. They intend to establish new cardiac care centers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, bringing specialized treatment options closer to patients in these areas. With a total bed capacity exceeding 713 beds currently, this expansion promises to significantly increase their reach. Additionally, Artemis will leverage both brownfield (expansion of existing facilities) and greenfield (building new facilities) opportunities within the Delhi NCR region to solidify their presence in this key market.

Established in 2007, Artemis has already established a strong reputation for quality healthcare. They currently operate a network of 713 beds across Delhi NCR, including a super specialty hospital in Gurugram and five smaller hospitals under the Artemis Lite and Daffodils brands. Their venture with Philips has further expanded their reach with seven Artemis Cardiac Care centers. In the last financial year (FY24), Artemis achieved gross revenues of INR 922 crore and a net profit of INR 49 crore.

This investment from IFC signifies confidence in Artemis' vision for growth. By expanding their bed capacity by at least 200, introducing advanced services, and reaching new regions, Artemis aims to make high-quality healthcare more accessible to patients across India. This aligns with the government's focus on improving healthcare infrastructure and accessibility, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. With a clear growth strategy, a proven track record of success, and a total investment exceeding INR 330 crore, Artemis is well-positioned to play a leading role in shaping the future of healthcare in India.
