Synopsis

SOTC Travel has expanded its retail footprint in North India with the launch of two new franchise outlets in Bareilly and Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The move forms part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence across high-growth Tier I and II markets, targeting both emerging and affluent consumer segments. While Bareilly offers access to first-time and aspirational travellers, Noida provides a strong base of corporate and high-income customers with established outbound travel demand. The outlets will operate under an omnichannel model, offering a range of domestic and international travel services. The expansion reflects growing demand for experiential travel, including luxury, adventure and spiritual tourism, particularly among families, professionals and younger travellers.

SOTC Travel has expanded its presence in North India by launching two new franchise outlets in Bareilly and Noida, marking a strategic push into high-growth regional markets.

The expansion is aimed at strengthening the company’s retail network across Tier I and Tier II cities, with a focus on improving accessibility and customer engagement. Bareilly has been identified as an emerging market with rising disposable incomes and increasing interest in organised travel, particularly among first-time holidaymakers. In contrast, Noida, part of the National Capital Region, offers access to a more mature customer base comprising corporate professionals and affluent households with established outbound travel demand.

The company stated that both outlets have been positioned in prominent and accessible locations to cater to key residential and commercial catchments. Through these additions, it aims to enhance its customer reach and provide integrated travel solutions through its omnichannel platform.

The newly launched stores will offer a comprehensive portfolio of services, including domestic and international holiday packages, group tours, customised travel itineraries and cruise holidays. In addition, customers will have access to ancillary services such as travel insurance, enabling end-to-end travel planning under a single platform.

Travel demand trends from Uttar Pradesh indicate a diverse range of preferences. Domestically, destinations such as Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kerala and the Andaman region continue to attract travellers. Within the Indian subcontinent, Sri Lanka remains a key destination. Internationally, destinations across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Europe — including Japan, Australia, Singapore and the UAE — are witnessing steady demand.

Spiritual tourism continues to be a significant segment, with strong interest in pilgrimage circuits such as the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, Char Dham routes and Vaishno Devi. At the same time, travellers are increasingly exploring experiential itineraries, including luxury cruises, polar expeditions, Northern Lights tours and self-drive holidays.

The company noted that its customer base spans multiple segments, including multi-generational families, couples, working professionals, millennials and Gen Z travellers. Holiday durations typically range from four to six days for domestic and short-haul trips, and extend to 10–15 days for long-haul international travel.

The expansion into Bareilly and Noida reflects a broader strategy to align with evolving travel preferences and capture demand across diverse consumer groups. By strengthening its physical presence alongside digital capabilities, the company aims to support continued growth in organised travel demand across northern India.
