CBRE Group, Inc. has appointed Abhishek Bajpai as Managing Director and Head of Client Engagement for Asia Pacific, with his tenure set to begin in the coming weeks, based in Singapore. In this role, he will report to Tom Gaffney, Regional Managing Director and Head of Leasing for Asia Pacific, and will be responsible for strengthening client engagement across the firm's regional leasing business.
The appointment is aimed at building a structured client engagement platform to support revenue growth and expand market share within CBRE's Asia Pacific leasing operations. Bajpai will work closely with regional leadership teams to enhance relationships with occupiers and institutional clients, particularly across multi-market portfolios.
Bajpai brings more than 23 years of experience in the commercial real estate sector, with a focus on occupier services, portfolio optimisation, and cross-border advisory mandates. Over the course of his career, he has led more than 500 projects and has been involved in securing complex mandates for international clients operating across multiple markets. His experience includes advising global occupiers and institutional investors on strategic real estate decisions, with an emphasis on managing large and diverse property portfolios.
He rejoins CBRE from EQT Real Estate, where he served as Managing Director and Asia Pacific Head of Leasing and Occupier Solutions. In that capacity, he was involved in leasing strategies and occupier engagement across key regional markets. Prior to that, he spent nearly 18 years at Colliers, where he led the firm's Occupier Services platform in Asia Pacific. His responsibilities included overseeing account management, tenant representation, workplace strategy, lease administration, and advisory services for corporate clients.
CBRE indicated that Bajpai's experience in managing complex occupier portfolios and multi-market assignments aligns with the firm's regional growth strategy. The company stated that his addition would strengthen its leadership capabilities in Asia Pacific and support its focus on integrated client solutions.
Headquartered in Dallas, CBRE operates as a global real estate services and investment firm, with operations spanning more than 100 countries and a workforce exceeding 155,000 employees. Its business is structured across advisory services, building operations, project management, and real estate investments, serving a broad range of clients including corporates, investors, and developers.
The appointment reflects CBRE's continued focus on expanding its advisory and leasing platform across Asia Pacific, with an emphasis on client-centric strategies and cross-market service delivery.
