Shadowfax Technologies has launched ‘Shadowfax 360’, a self-serve digital logistics platform aimed at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands. The platform enables businesses to begin shipping operations within minutes without technical integration or minimum order commitments. It provides access to Shadowfax’s network spanning over 15,000 pincodes across more than 2,500 cities, along with features such as flat-rate pricing, AI-led return risk assessment and e-commerce integrations. The move is part of the company’s strategy to diversify beyond large enterprise clients and expand its merchant base among early-stage and online-first businesses, while improving logistics accessibility and efficiency across the digital commerce ecosystem.
Shadowfax Technologies has introduced ‘Shadowfax 360’, a self-serve digital shipping platform designed to enable small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands to access logistics services without complex onboarding processes, according to a recent company announcement.
The platform allows businesses to register and initiate shipping operations within minutes through a web-based interface, eliminating the need for technical integration or minimum order volumes. This marks a shift from traditional enterprise-focused logistics models towards a more accessible, digital-first approach aimed at early-stage and online-native brands.
Shadowfax 360 provides users with access to the company’s logistics network covering more than 15,000 pincodes across over 2,500 cities in India. The platform is currently focused on domestic operations and is positioned to support sellers across a wide geographic footprint, including Tier II and Tier III markets.
A key feature of the platform is its flat-rate billing structure, which aims to address pricing inconsistencies associated with weight-based logistics charges. In addition, it integrates with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce, allowing sellers to streamline order processing and fulfilment workflows.
The platform also incorporates artificial intelligence-led tools to assess return-to-origin (RTO) risks before shipment dispatch. This functionality is intended to help sellers reduce losses associated with failed deliveries, a persistent challenge in India’s e-commerce and D2C segments.
Another operational feature includes structured cash-on-delivery (COD) remittance cycles, designed to improve liquidity for small businesses by ensuring faster settlement of payments. The combination of pricing clarity, digital integration and financial support mechanisms positions the platform as a comprehensive logistics solution for emerging sellers.
The launch forms part of Shadowfax’s broader strategy to diversify its client base beyond large enterprise and marketplace customers. Company executives indicated that the platform is expected to play a key role in onboarding new merchants and driving volume growth, while also contributing to revenue diversification over time.
Industry context suggests that logistics providers are increasingly targeting SMEs and D2C brands as a growth segment, driven by the expansion of digital commerce and the rise of independent online sellers. Shadowfax’s asset-light, technology-led model—supported by a large delivery partner network—has enabled it to scale operations across multiple logistics segments, including first-mile, mid-mile and last-mile delivery.
The introduction of Shadowfax 360 reflects a broader shift towards self-service logistics platforms, where ease of access, pricing transparency and integration capabilities are becoming critical factors for customer acquisition.
