Castellum AB has signed a ten-year lease agreement for nearly half of a newly developed warehouse building in Ringon, Gothenburg, strengthening its presence in the logistics real estate segment. The company confirmed that the lease covers a substantial portion of the facility, indicating continued demand for modern warehouse space in the area.
The Ringon district, located close to central Gothenburg, has gradually developed into an important industrial and logistics zone. Its proximity to the Port of Gothenburg, one of the largest ports in Scandinavia, makes it a preferred location for warehousing and distribution operations. This strategic advantage has supported steady leasing activity in recent years.
The company stated that the agreement secures occupancy for a significant share of the new building for a decade, providing long-term income visibility. While specific tenant details were not disclosed, such long-duration leases are typically associated with logistics operators, distribution firms, or light industrial users looking for stable and well-connected locations.
In recent years, Castellum has focused on expanding its portfolio in logistics and warehouse assets, aligning with growing demand driven by e-commerce growth and supply chain restructuring across Europe. The shift towards larger, efficient storage and distribution facilities has led to increased interest in long-term leasing agreements.
Market trends indicate that tenants are prioritising modern infrastructure, accessibility, and sustainability features when selecting warehouse spaces. Gothenburg, with its strong transport network and industrial ecosystem, continues to attract such occupiers.
