Construction at the Amaravati Government Complex has moved into a key phase with the start of corner node installation for the Secretariat and HOD Towers. The work, part of the advanced diagrid structural system for Towers 3 and 4, is being executed by Larsen & Toubro. Officials from the state government and project authorities marked the beginning with traditional rituals. This stage is important for structural strength and design efficiency. The development reflects ongoing efforts to build modern administrative infrastructure and strengthen Amaravati's position as a planned capital city.
The construction of the Secretariat and HOD Towers at the Amaravati Government Complex has moved ahead with the start of corner node installation, marking a key step in the structural development of the project. The work is part of the diagrid structural system being implemented for Towers 3 and 4 by Larsen & Toubro.
The initiation of this phase was carried out in the past week with traditional rituals. The event was attended by Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana, along with senior officials from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority and Amaravati Government Infrastructure Corporation Limited.
The diagrid system being used for these towers is known for improving structural strength while reducing the need for internal columns. It also supports modern architectural design and allows more flexible interior spaces. The installation of corner nodes is an important engineering step, as these joints connect the diagonal structural elements and help distribute loads efficiently across the building.
The Secretariat and HOD Towers are central to the administrative setup planned for Amaravati. The project had earlier seen delays due to policy changes and funding challenges, but work has gradually resumed with a focus on completing core government infrastructure. Authorities have been working to ensure quality execution and adherence to timelines.
With this development, project authorities aim to move faster on structural work, keeping in line with the broader plan of building a functional and modern government complex in the capital region.
