Suzlon has already established a strong footprint in Maharashtra, with more than 2.2 GW of installed wind energy capacity and around 38 per cent market share in the state. The state continues to remain a key renewable energy hub in India, supported by favourable policies and industrial demand.
Ajay Kapur, CEO of Suzlon Group, stated that the company is continuing its long-standing association with GAIL, which has been a partner for over 15 years, and noted that this marks their sixth project together. This ongoing collaboration reflects stable demand from large PSUs looking to transition towards cleaner energy sources.
Suzlon, headquartered in Pune, operates globally and has installed around 21.5 GW of wind energy capacity across 17 countries. The company, along with its subsidiaries, continues to focus on expanding renewable energy adoption in India, especially through partnerships with industrial and public sector players.
