Synopsis

360 ONE Asset has secured INR 2,000 crore in commitments for its Private Investment in Public Equity (PIPE) strategy, reflecting strong investor confidence. The strategy targets listed and late-stage companies, combining private capital flexibility with public market liquidity. It aims to support businesses during key growth phases, including expansion, governance improvement, and balance sheet strengthening. Investments will be made through block deals and anchor placements, with a focus on fundamentals and active engagement. The PIPE route offers companies a faster, more flexible fundraising option compared to IPOs, while giving investors access to structured opportunities, better information flow, and potential medium- to long-term returns.

60 ONE Asset has raised commitments worth INR 2,000 crore for its Private Investment in Public Equity (PIPE) strategy, the company announced on Tuesday.

The strategy focuses on investing in listed and late-stage companies using structured capital. According to the firm, the fund has attracted strong investor participation, indicating confidence in its approach of identifying value through active involvement and planned exits.

The PIPE model combines elements of private and public markets. It allows investors to participate in select opportunities with the flexibility of private capital, while retaining the liquidity advantages typically associated with publicly traded companies.

Anup Maheshwari, Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer at 360 ONE Asset, said the strategy is designed to support companies at key stages of growth. He highlighted that there is increasing demand for long-term capital that can assist businesses in areas such as expansion, governance improvement and balance sheet strengthening.

The investment approach will be driven by fundamentals and active engagement, said Charanjit Singh, Fund Manager at the firm. The fund will focus on companies where capital infusion, along with institutional partnerships, can help create value over time.

The portfolio will remain un-indexed and investments will be made through block deals and anchor placements. This structure is intended to generate risk-adjusted returns while maintaining liquidity options for investors.

The company noted that the PIPE route offers businesses a faster and more flexible way to raise funds compared to traditional methods such as initial public offerings (IPOs) or follow-on public offers. It also enables companies to benefit from strategic investors who can contribute to governance practices and long-term growth planning.

For investors, PIPE investments can provide better access to information, potential for medium- to long-term gains and flexible exit routes.

360 ONE Asset is a major player in India's asset management space, managing approximately USD 11 billion across listed market and alternative investments.
