The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has launched an e-auction to allot 24 industrial plots across multiple sectors, aiming to strengthen industrial development and attract investment in the region. The offering, announced in the past week, includes plots of varying sizes located in sectors such as Ecotech and Udyog Kendra. The allotment will follow a competitive bidding process, with a stipulated application deadline and eligibility criteria for participating firms. The move is part of GNIDA's ongoing efforts to enhance industrial land utilisation and support manufacturing and allied activities. The initiative is expected to generate revenue for the authority while facilitating new industrial units and employment opportunities.
The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has initiated an e-auction process in the past week to allot 24 industrial plots across multiple sectors, as part of its strategy to promote industrial development and attract fresh investment into the region.
The plots are located in key industrial sectors, including Ecotech and Udyog Kendra, which form part of Greater Noida's established industrial zones. The parcels vary in size, catering to a range of industrial requirements, and are expected to appeal to manufacturing units, logistics operators and small to medium enterprises seeking to establish operations within the National Capital Region.
According to officials, the allotment will be carried out through an online bidding process, ensuring transparency and competitive price discovery. Interested applicants will be required to meet eligibility criteria and submit bids within a specified timeline, with the authority expected to finalise allotments based on the highest bids received for each plot.
The initiative forms part of GNIDA's broader effort to improve industrial land utilisation and support economic activity in the region. By making developed plots available through structured allotment mechanisms, the authority aims to facilitate the establishment of new industrial units while generating revenue through land monetisation.
Greater Noida has emerged as a key industrial and logistics hub due to its connectivity and proximity to major infrastructure projects, including expressways and upcoming transport corridors. The availability of serviced industrial land has been a key factor in attracting investments from both domestic and international companies.
Officials indicated that the current offering is aligned with ongoing policy measures to strengthen the state's industrial base and promote manufacturing-led growth. The allocation of plots across multiple sectors is intended to ensure balanced development and optimal utilisation of available land.
In addition to facilitating industrial expansion, the allotment of these plots is expected to contribute to employment generation in the region. The establishment of new industrial units typically leads to the creation of direct and indirect jobs, supporting local economic activity.
The authority has been conducting similar allotment exercises in phases, reflecting sustained demand for industrial land in Greater Noida. The latest e-auction follows earlier initiatives where plots were offered across different categories, including industrial, institutional and commercial uses.
The process is expected to conclude following the evaluation of bids, after which successful applicants will be issued allotment letters and required to complete further formalities, including payment schedules and compliance with development norms.
The move underscores GNIDA's continued focus on facilitating industrial growth through land allocation, while ensuring transparency and adherence to regulatory processes. By providing access to ready-to-use industrial plots, the authority aims to support the expansion of manufacturing and allied sectors in the Greater Noida region.
