Electric mobility firm Simple Energy has expanded its retail presence with the launch of five new stores across Delhi, Nashik, Aurangabad and Siliguri, as part of its pan-India growth strategy announced on April 9. The company has strengthened its footprint in Delhi by opening outlets at two locations, while marking its entry into Nashik, Aurangabad and Siliguri with first-time stores. With this expansion, the Bengaluru-based firm now operates nearly 70 outlets across 38 cities. The company has also outlined plans to enter additional markets, including Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar. The move reflects continued expansion of EV retail infrastructure in tier-I and tier-II cities to improve accessibility and after-sales support for customers.
Simple Energy has expanded its retail footprint in the past week with the launch of five new stores across Delhi, Nashik, Aurangabad and Siliguri, as the Bengaluru-based electric mobility firm continues to scale its presence across multiple regions in India.
The company has strengthened its network in Delhi by opening stores at two locations within the city, aimed at improving accessibility for customers across different zones. In addition, the company has entered three new markets Nashik, Aurangabad and Siliguri by launching its first retail outlets in these cities.
With the latest additions, Simple Energy's retail network has grown to nearly 70 outlets spread across 38 cities. The expansion reflects a broader strategy to establish a wider physical presence to support customer engagement, sales and after-sales services in both established and emerging markets.
Company officials indicated that the expansion is part of an ongoing effort to build a more accessible retail and service ecosystem for electric vehicle users. The focus on tier-II and tier-III cities aligns with increasing demand for electric mobility solutions beyond metropolitan regions.
The company has also outlined plans to further expand into cities such as Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar, indicating continued network growth in the near term. These locations have been identified as emerging markets for electric vehicles, supported by improving infrastructure and rising consumer adoption.
A company executive stated that expanding the retail footprint across northern, eastern and western India is intended to enhance customer accessibility and strengthen the service network. The presence of physical outlets is seen as a key component in supporting sales, maintenance and customer experience in the EV segment.
The expansion comes at a time when electric mobility companies are increasing investments in distribution networks to support growing demand and improve market reach. Retail outlets play a critical role in offering product demonstrations, test rides and service support, particularly in markets where EV adoption is still evolving.
Simple Energy's continued rollout of stores reflects a wider trend within the electric mobility sector, where companies are focusing on building robust retail and service infrastructure to support long-term growth. The strategy is expected to complement manufacturing and product development efforts as companies seek to scale operations across diverse geographies in India.
