ESR has secured USD 850 million in fresh equity from its existing shareholders to support growth across its logistics real estate and data centre businesses in the Asia-Pacific region. The fundraising follows its privatisation in 2025 and adds to over USD 2 billion raised through asset sales and recapitalisation efforts since early 2025. The company plans to deploy the capital in key markets such as Australia, Japan and South Korea, while exploring opportunities in India, Southeast Asia and Greater China. ESR also continues to expand its logistics and data centre development pipeline across the region.
Singapore-based ESR has secured USD 850 million in fresh equity from its existing shareholders to fund expansion across its logistics real estate and data centre businesses in the Asia-Pacific region. The company stated that the capital infusion is aimed at strengthening its balance sheet while supporting growth initiatives across its platform.
The fundraise comes at a time when ESR is implementing a strategic shift following its privatisation in July 2025 through a USD 7.09 billion transaction led by a consortium that included Starwood Capital Group and Warburg Pincus. This transition has allowed the company to streamline its focus on core business segments such as logistics infrastructure and digital assets.
The company highlighted that the latest equity raise builds on more than USD 2 billion in net proceeds generated since early 2025. These funds were raised through divestments of non-core assets and recapitalisation of balance sheet holdings, indicating a continued effort to optimise its portfolio and improve capital efficiency.
ESR's President Phil Pearce indicated that the company has entered its next phase of growth with a stronger capital base and a more focused operating platform. He conveyed that this position would support the company's long-term expansion strategy across high-demand sectors.
The newly raised capital is expected to be deployed across priority markets including Australia, Japan and South Korea. At the same time, ESR is also evaluating growth opportunities in Greater China, India and Southeast Asia, reflecting its intent to deepen its regional presence.
Operationally, the company serves over 1,500 logistics customers and is currently advancing a development pipeline valued at approximately USD 9 billion. In addition, its data centre business has a pipeline exceeding 3 gigawatts of capacity, planned for phased development across key markets in the region.
