Synopsis

Premier Energies Ltd has secured orders worth INR 2,577 crore during the fourth quarter of FY26 for supplying 1,600 MW of solar cells and modules. The contracts, awarded by a mix of domestic independent power producers, module manufacturers and EPC contractors, are scheduled for execution across FY27 and FY28. The development reflects sustained demand in India's solar manufacturing segment and growing confidence in the company's integrated capabilities. The company is also expanding its manufacturing scale, with cell capacity expected to reach 10.6 GW and module capacity already increased to 11.1 GW.

Premier Energies Ltd has secured orders worth INR 2,577 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26 for the supply of 1,600 MW solar cells and modules, according to a company statement.

The company stated that the execution of these orders is planned across FY27 and FY28, providing medium-term revenue visibility and strengthening its order pipeline.

These contracts have been awarded by a mix of leading domestic independent power producers (IPPs), module manufacturers and EPC contractors. The company indicated that this reflects continued confidence among industry players in its execution capabilities and integrated manufacturing platform.

The order inflow comes at a time when Premier Energies is expanding its manufacturing capacity. Its solar cell capacity is expected to reach 10.6 GW by September 2026, while its module manufacturing capacity has already been scaled up to 11.1 GW. This expansion aligns with the broader growth in India's solar sector, supported by government initiatives such as the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and increasing focus on domestic manufacturing.

Managing Director Chiranjeev Saluja stated that the strong order inflow highlights the trust placed by customers in the company's manufacturing capabilities and its technology roadmap.

In recent quarters, Indian solar manufacturers have seen rising demand driven by utility-scale projects, corporate renewable energy adoption, and policy support for localisation. Companies like Premier Energies have been investing in backward integration and capacity expansion to reduce dependence on imports and improve supply chain resilience.
