PTT Synergy unit signs warehouse automation and maintenance deal with Sime Darby Property and Mydin Mohamed

PTT Synergy Group Bhd announced that its unit has entered into an agreement to supply a warehouse automation system for a project involving Sime Darby Property and Mydin Mohamed Holdings. The contract includes the implementation of an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) along with ongoing maintenance services. PTT Synergy Group Bhd stated that its subsidiary has secured a contract to implement a warehouse automation system for a development linked to Sime Darby Property and Mydin Mohamed Holdings. The project is associated with the Elmina East asset under Sime Darby Property's portfolio.


The company informed that the scope of work includes the deployment of an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS), which is commonly used in modern warehouses to improve storage density and operational efficiency. In addition to the installation, the unit will also provide maintenance services for the system under the agreement.

While financial details of the deal were not disclosed, such systems are typically adopted by large retail and logistics operators to streamline inventory management and reduce manual handling. Mydin Mohamed Holdings, known for its wholesale and retail operations, has been expanding its supply chain capabilities to support growing demand.

Sime Darby Property has been actively developing industrial and logistics assets within its townships, including Elmina, to cater to rising demand for integrated warehousing solutions. The inclusion of automation technologies in these developments highlights a shift towards more efficient and technology-driven infrastructure.
