Synopsis

Industrialist Gautam Adani met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow and expressed strong support for the state's long-term economic vision. The roadmap aims to transform Uttar Pradesh into a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030 and expand it to USD 6 trillion by 2047. Adani highlighted the scale and intent of the plan, stating that it reflects the state's potential. The Adani Group has committed to contributing through investments across sectors such as power, infrastructure, logistics, airports, defence, industrial parks, and data centres.

Industrialist Gautam Adani met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow and extended support for the state's long-term economic growth plans.


After the meeting, Adani shared his views publicly, appreciating the chief minister's vision to position Uttar Pradesh as a major economic centre. He highlighted that the roadmap presented by the state government targets a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030, with a further expansion goal of USD 6 trillion by 2047.

Adani stated that such a vision has the ability to reshape the future of a state and added that the roadmap for a developed Uttar Pradesh reflects a clear statement of the state's potential and ambition. He indicated that the scale of the plan signals confidence in Uttar Pradesh's capacity to emerge as a key contributor to India's overall economic growth.

He further mentioned that the Adani Group plans to play an active role in this transformation through investments in several core sectors. These include power generation, defence manufacturing, airport infrastructure, logistics networks, industrial parks, and data centres. The group's involvement aligns with its broader strategy of investing in infrastructure-led growth across India.

The meeting comes at a time when Uttar Pradesh has been actively pushing for large-scale investments through policy reforms, infrastructure expansion, and industrial development initiatives. The state has also been focusing on improving connectivity through expressways, airports, and logistics hubs to attract domestic and global investors.

During the same visit, Adani, along with his family members, visited Ayodhya and offered prayers at the Ram Temple on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, reflecting a mix of business engagement and personal observance during the trip.
