The Amaravati Growth & Infrastructure Corporation Limited (AGICL) carried out a review of ongoing construction works at the Amaravati Government Complex (AGC), focusing on key infrastructure projects such as the High Court building and housing towers for non-gazetted officers. Managing Director SVR Srinivas inspected the sites and later held a detailed meeting with contractors and engineering teams overseeing the developments.
During the review, Srinivas instructed officials to ensure that construction is completed within the set targets while maintaining quality standards. The emphasis remained on timely execution without compromising on structural and construction quality, as these projects form a critical part of the capital city's administrative framework.
The housing project for non-gazetted officers is being developed in Nelapadu as part of the AGC. A total of 21 residential towers, divided into two clusters, are under construction across 26.61 acres. These towers will together have a built-up area of 35.63 lakh square feet and will provide 1,968 residential units for government staff. The project is aimed at creating dedicated housing infrastructure to support administrative operations in the capital region.
Construction of the High Court building is also progressing steadily within the same complex. The project is being developed over 42 acres and includes a structure comprising basement, ground, and seven upper floors. The total built-up area stands at 20.32 lakh square feet. Officials indicated that work is moving ahead in line with planned timelines while maintaining the required construction standards.
Amaravati has seen multiple phases of development since it was proposed as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Several administrative and institutional projects, including government offices and housing facilities, have been taken up in phases to establish the city's core infrastructure. The current review reflects continued monitoring of these projects to ensure they remain on track.
