ITC Hotels Limited has launched Storii Jawai, a 15-key boutique retreat in Rajasthan, marking the 11th property under its Storii brand. Located in the Jawai region, known for its leopard habitat, granite landscapes, and river ecosystem, the project focuses on nature-led and experiential tourism. Developed in partnership with 1st Gate Luxe Pvt. Ltd., the property integrates safari-style accommodation with low-impact design elements such as tented villas, private courtyards, and preserved green zones. The development aligns with the growing demand for boutique and eco-sensitive hospitality formats in emerging leisure destinations. It also reflects increasing investor interest in experiential tourism assets that combine wildlife, culture, and premium accommodation.
ITC Hotels Limited has expanded its boutique hospitality portfolio with the opening of Storii Jawai in Rajasthan in recent days, adding a 15-key property to its Storii brand and strengthening its presence in the experiential tourism segment. The retreat is located in the Jawai region, a landscape characterised by granite hills, the Jawai river system, and a well-documented leopard habitat, positioning the project within a nature-driven tourism micro-market.
The development has been undertaken in association with 1st Gate Luxe Pvt. Ltd., with both entities collaborating to create a hospitality asset that integrates local cultural elements with contemporary design. The property has been planned as a low-density boutique retreat, with accommodation units dispersed across the site to minimise environmental impact while maintaining guest privacy.
The design approach incorporates a mix of tented villas and built structures, including a central colonial-style bungalow that functions as a lounge and bar. Two suites are positioned within this structure, offering elevated views of the surrounding terrain. The arrival experience has been structured through a tented reception, aligning with the safari-inspired theme of the development.
Accommodation units are designed with private courtyards and plunge pools, with the layout intended to retain existing vegetation and minimise disturbance to the natural landscape. The site planning also includes an elevated infinity pool situated on a rocky outcrop, overlooking a natural water body retained as part of the project's ecological framework.
Management indicated that the property has been conceptualised to offer a balance between wilderness-based tourism and curated hospitality experiences. It was conveyed that the project reflects an effort to combine modern design with traditional influences, drawing from local architectural and cultural elements.
The Jawai region has emerged as a niche tourism destination, attracting visitors for wildlife exploration, particularly leopard sightings, as well as its unique topography and biodiversity, including migratory bird populations. The area is also associated with the Rabari community, whose cultural heritage forms part of the region's identity and tourism appeal.
The addition of Storii Jawai aligns with a broader trend in the hospitality sector towards boutique and experiential formats, where lower room inventory and location-specific experiences are prioritised over large-scale developments. Such projects are increasingly being developed in emerging leisure markets, where land availability and natural assets support differentiated offerings.
With this launch, ITC Hotels continues to expand its presence in the premium boutique segment, focusing on destinations that combine ecological value with tourism potential. The project reflects a growing shift in hospitality development towards integrated, experience-driven assets that cater to evolving traveller preferences in India's leisure market.
