Adani Airport Holdings has partnered with Blinkit to launch India's first in-terminal quick commerce service at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The service is currently available at Terminal 2 for domestic departures, allowing passengers to order essentials through the Blinkit app and receive deliveries within the airport. Items include travel accessories, snacks, electronics, and personal care products. The move aims to improve passenger convenience and optimise waiting time at airports, while also helping Blinkit expand into high-demand locations with strong consumer intent and frequent usage.
Adani Airport Holdings, a subsidiary of Adani Group, has partnered with Blinkit to introduce India's first in-terminal quick commerce service at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
The service has been rolled out at Terminal 2 for domestic departures, allowing passengers to place orders through the Blinkit app and receive deliveries directly within the airport. Orders can be delivered across boarding gates, lounges, the food court, and selected partner outlets inside the terminal, making it easier for travellers to access essential items without leaving their waiting areas.
A spokesperson from Adani Airport Holdings Limited stated that integrating app-based services inside the terminal helps passengers utilise their time more efficiently and improves overall service standards. The spokesperson added that this initiative is part of the company's effort to create more responsive and passenger-focused airport infrastructure.
The range of products available through this service includes travel accessories, electronics, snacks, books, baby care items, and other personal essentials. Liquids such as packaged drinking water, juices, and cold beverages are being supplied from authorised in-terminal inventory, ensuring compliance with airport security norms.
For Blinkit, this marks an expansion of its quick commerce model into a high-footfall and time-sensitive environment like airports. The company is aiming to tap into passengers immediate needs, where convenience and speed play a critical role. The move also aligns with the broader trend of integrating digital services into physical infrastructure, especially in premium transit hubs.
In recent years, Adani Airport Holdings has been working on improving passenger experience across its managed airports by introducing technology-driven services and retail innovations. This latest initiative reflects a growing focus on blending digital convenience with on-ground infrastructure.
