Dilip Buildcon has emerged as the lowest bidder for a road project worth INR 160.20 crore in Odisha, awarded by Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation. The project involves constructing a six-lane diversion road with service lanes in Sundargarh district under the EPC model. The execution timeline is 18 months. This contract adds to the company's order book of over INR 29,000 crore and follows recent project wins in power transmission and flood protection. The development reflects steady infrastructure activity in Odisha and continued order inflow for the company.
Dilip Buildcon has been declared the lowest bidder for a road infrastructure project valued at INR 160.20 crore in Odisha. The contract has been awarded by Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited, a state-run agency responsible for executing road and bridge projects.
The scope of work includes construction of a diversion road along the Duduka Gopalpur Toparia stretch in Sundargarh district. The project will involve developing a six-lane carriageway along with service roads between km 4/700 and km 11/500. The work will be carried out under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model, where the contractor is responsible for design, execution, and delivery within a fixed cost and timeline.
The project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months from the date of commencement. The contract value excludes GST and is part of a domestic infrastructure development initiative. The road is expected to improve connectivity in the Sundargarh region, which has industrial and mining activity, and currently faces traffic movement challenges on certain stretches.
This order further strengthens Dilip Buildcon's existing order book, which stood at around INR 29,372 crore as of the past quarter. The company has been consistently securing projects across segments. In recent developments, it received a Letter of Intent for a power transmission project valued at around INR 1,850 crore and also secured a flood protection embankment project in Gujarat. These additions indicate a diversified project pipeline beyond road construction.
Dilip Buildcon has a strong presence in EPC-based infrastructure projects across India, with a focus on roads, highways, irrigation, and urban development. Road projects continue to remain a key contributor to its business, supported by government spending on connectivity.
Odisha has been witnessing steady infrastructure investments in recent years, particularly in road development to support industrial corridors and regional connectivity. Projects in districts like Sundargarh are aimed at easing transport movement and improving access between key locations.
