Sundaram Home Finance Ltd, headquartered in Chennai, has launched its affordable housing initiative in Puducherry, targeting disbursements of over INR 10 crore in the initial phase. This move is part of the company's broader expansion strategy, following its recent entry into Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana markets.

The Managing Director, D Lakshminarayanan, noted that Puducherry's housing market is vibrant and increasingly affordable. He pointed out that many small housing communities on the city's outskirts present a strong opportunity for the company's affordable housing segment. He also emphasized that Puducherry's growing status as an education and employment hub is likely to fuel demand in this sector.
