Addressing the gathering, Murlidhar Mohol emphasised the need for collaboration between developers, government and citizens to maintain Pune's liveability amid rapid urbanisation. The meeting also highlighted initiatives such as collaboration with police on traffic management and policy representations related to regulatory issues affecting the real estate sector.
CREDAI Pune hosted its General Body Meeting at the Sheraton Grand Pune, bringing together more than 200 developers, industry experts and policymakers to discuss the future of urban development and the real estate sector in Pune.
The event was attended by Murlidhar Mohol, who served as chief guest and highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts between developers, authorities and citizens to sustain Pune's reputation as one of India's most liveable cities.
Mohol said the construction sector plays an important role in shaping urban landscapes by supporting planned development, modern infrastructure and improved quality of life. He noted that with rapid urbanisation and a population of nearly seven million in Pune city, future planning and strong civic infrastructure will be critical to maintaining liveability standards.
He also highlighted developments in public transport and connectivity, noting that around 32 km of the Pune Metro is already operational, while future expansions could increase the network to nearly 150 km in the coming years. Improvements in air connectivity at Lohegaon Airport and infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening regional connectivity were also mentioned as key drivers of growth.
During the meeting, CREDAI Pune launched CREDAIBILITY.AI, an AI-powered property search platform designed to help homebuyers access verified information about projects developed by CREDAI member developers, with the aim of creating a transparent and spam-free property discovery process.
According to Manish Jain, president of CREDAI Pune, innovation, transparency and collaboration with government and civic authorities are essential for shaping Pune's future urban landscape. He added that the association has also partnered with the police department on a traffic management initiative called Trafficure, which is currently being piloted to support improved traffic monitoring in the city.
The event also featured a session by chartered accountant Sarthak Ahuja on personal branding for CEOs and businesses, focusing on the growing importance of professional identity and leadership visibility in a digital and competitive environment.
CREDAI Pune said it will continue to work with government agencies and industry stakeholders to promote transparency, responsible development and sustainable urban growth in Pune's real estate sector.
