Led by NAREDCO Maharashtra, the state's participation will highlight its role as one of India's most urbanised regions, supported by sustained infrastructure investment, industrial growth and expanding metropolitan clusters. The discussions will focus on transit-led development, large-scale redevelopment, rental housing, regulatory reforms and technology-driven urban planning. With urbanisation expected to accelerate over the coming decades, Maharashtra's experience across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Pune, Nagpur and other emerging cities is expected to offer insights into balancing housing supply, infrastructure delivery and sustainable city growth within a rapidly evolving policy and investment environment.

Maharashtra's real estate sector is preparing to present its urban development journey and future roadmap at the National Urban and Real Estate Development Conclave 2026, positioning the state as a key contributor to India's evolving urbanisation narrative. Organised at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, the conclave will bring together policymakers, developers, investors, financial institutions and urban planning experts from across the country.

NAREDCO Maharashtra will lead the state's participation, highlighting how sustained infrastructure creation, industrial expansion and commercial activity have shaped Maharashtra's urban growth. As one of India's most urbanised states, Maharashtra's experience spans large metropolitan regions such as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Pune, as well as rapidly emerging urban centres including Nagpur, Nashik and other regional hubs.

The state's presentation is expected to focus on transit-oriented development, large-scale redevelopment initiatives, rental housing frameworks and the integration of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. Industry stakeholders will also examine how infrastructure-led expansion, ease of doing business reforms and technology-enabled planning are influencing housing supply and investment activity across urban Maharashtra.

The conclave agenda includes discussions on regulatory alignment under RERA, coordination with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and the Consumer Protection Act, institutional capital participation, digitisation of property transactions and proptech adoption. Affordable housing, sustainable redevelopment models and rental housing are expected to feature prominently, reflecting the sector's shift towards long-term urban resilience.

NAREDCO Maharashtra said the platform would enable the state to share practical insights drawn from redevelopment projects, transit infrastructure integration and growth management across diverse urban markets. NAREDCO leadership noted that the conclave comes at a critical stage for India's real estate sector, as steady economic growth, policy continuity and accelerating urbanisation reshape demand patterns.

With India's urban population projected to approach 50% by 2047, the conclave aims to generate actionable frameworks that support transparent development, strengthen investor confidence and improve urban liveability. Maharashtra's participation is expected to underline the role of structured policy dialogue and collaborative planning in shaping the next phase of India's urban and real estate growth.
