Power Mech Projects has secured two major thermal power orders aggregating to over INR 1,000 crore, excluding GST. One contract worth INR 515 crore has been awarded by Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Private Ltd for the Mirzapur Phase-I project, while another valued at INR 490 crore has been received from Mahan Energen Ltd for the Mahan Phase-III project. Both orders involve erection, testing, commissioning, and performance guarantee-related services for 2x800 MW ultra supercritical units, with execution timelines of 36 months from the respective Notices to Proceed.
Power Mech Projects informed stock exchanges earlier this week that it has secured two major orders with a combined value exceeding INR 1,000 crore, excluding goods and services tax. The contracts strengthen the company's order book in the thermal power segment, where it has been a long-standing execution player.
As per the regulatory filing, Power Mech Projects received an order valued at INR 515 crore from Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Private Ltd. The scope covers onsite services related to erection, testing, and commissioning, along with manpower support for the performance guarantee test of the steam generator, steam turbine generator, and associated auxiliaries. The work is linked to the 2x800 MW Mirzapur Phase-I Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project.
The execution timeline for this contract has been fixed at 36 months from the required erection start date, which will be communicated through the Notice to Proceed.
In a separate development, the company also secured another order worth INR 490 crore from Mahan Energen Ltd. This project involves a similar scope of onsite services, including erection, testing, commissioning, and manpower assistance for the performance guarantee test of critical equipment. The work relates to the 2x800 MW Mahan Phase-III Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project.
This contract will also be executed within 36 months from the erection start date mentioned in the Notice to Proceed.
Power Mech Projects has previously executed several large boiler-turbine-generator packages and balance-of-plant works across thermal power stations in India. The latest wins indicate continued traction for ultra supercritical projects, even as the power sector balances conventional capacity with renewable additions.
