Airbus will showcase a broad range of commercial aircraft and helicopters at Wings India 2026 in Hyderabad, highlighting solutions aligned with India's fast-growing aviation market. The static display will feature the A321neo and A220, underlining Airbus's focus on efficient domestic and regional connectivity. In the rotary segment, the H160 and H125 helicopters will be showcased, with the H125 linked to local assembly in Karnataka under the Make in India initiative. Visitors will also see models of the A321XLR and H145, a virtual reality H125 simulator, and Airbus's lifecycle services and sustainability roadmap. The showcase reinforces Airbus's strong manufacturing, sourcing and talent engagement presence in India.
Airbus is set to showcase a wide portfolio of its commercial aircraft and helicopter platforms at the upcoming Wings India 2026 civil aviation exhibition in Hyderabad. The European aerospace major will place a strong focus on both fixed-wing and rotary aircraft that are relevant to India's expanding aviation and regional connectivity needs.
The static aircraft display will feature the A321neo, Airbus's largest single-aisle aircraft, which is widely used by Indian airlines for domestic and international routes. Alongside it, the A220 regional aircraft will also be on display, highlighting its suitability for short- to medium-haul operations and airports with operational constraints. The A220 has gained global traction for its fuel efficiency and lower operating costs.
In the helicopter segment, Airbus will present the H160, a medium twin-engine helicopter designed for civil, offshore and public service operations. The display will also include the H125 single-engine helicopter, which holds significance for India as it is planned to be assembled locally at the company's facility in Vemagal, Karnataka. This project forms part of Airbus's broader Make in India strategy and reflects its growing industrial footprint in the country.
Apart from full-scale aircraft, Airbus will exhibit scale models of the H145 twin-engine helicopter and the A321XLR. The A321XLR is designed for long-range narrow-body operations and has been positioned as a solution for opening new routes with lower demand while maintaining operational efficiency.
A key attraction at the Airbus pavilion will be a virtual reality-based simulator for the H125 helicopter. The simulator is designed to offer an immersive pilot training experience, allowing visitors to understand how advanced digital tools are being used to improve safety and training outcomes in aviation.
The company will also outline its range of lifecycle services covering maintenance, training, digital solutions and operational support. In addition, Airbus will present its sustainability roadmap, including efforts around decarbonisation and the use of sustainable aviation fuel as the industry works towards lowering emissions.
India continues to be a strategic market for Airbus, not only for aircraft sales but also for engineering, digital design and manufacturing. The company sources components and services worth around USD 1.5 billion annually from Indian suppliers, supporting a large domestic aerospace ecosystem.
During the public days of the event, Airbus plans to interact with potential recruits at its stand. The focus will be on professionals with skills in areas such as avionics software, airframe engineering, Big Data and Internet of Things applications.
