Synopsis

ITC Hotels reported a healthy improvement in financial performance for the December quarter, with consolidated net profit rising nearly 10% year-on-year, supported by strong revenue growth and sustained demand across premium and leisure hospitality segments. The company continued to expand its portfolio, adding new properties across multiple cities and strengthening its presence in Tier II and Tier III markets. While profitability was partially impacted by one-time exceptional items related to new labour codes and cyclone-related inventory losses in Sri Lanka, the overall outlook remains positive.

ITC Hotels has reported a 9.64% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to INR 236.83 crore for the third quarter ended December, driven by higher revenue from operations. The company had posted a net profit of INR 216 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations during the quarter rose to INR 1,230.68 crore from INR 1,015.40 crore a year earlier, reflecting strong demand across its hotel portfolio. Total expenses, however, also increased to INR 870.02 crore compared to INR 740.41 crore in the same period of the previous financial year.

Under exceptional items, ITC Hotels estimated a one-time impact of INR 55.42 crore following the Ministry of Labour and Employment bringing new labour codes into force in November. The company said it continues to monitor the finalisation of related rules and will account for any further changes as required. It also reported an estimated net loss of INR 28.58 crore due to inventory damage caused by Cyclone Ditwah in Sri Lanka, for which an insurance assessment is underway.

During the quarter, ITC Hotels expanded its footprint with new hotel openings in Bodh Gaya, Rishikesh, Siliguri, Sirmaur, Dungarpur and Jaipur. The company said it is increasingly partnering with asset owners to grow in Tier II and Tier III cities amid rising demand for premium hospitality offerings.

In 2025, ITC Hotels signed 28 new hotels comprising 2,790 keys, representing a 26% increase over the previous year. It also crossed the milestone of 150 operational hotels with more than 14,000 keys during the quarter. Looking ahead, the company remains optimistic, citing positive policy measures, sustained consumption trends and continued demand growth, particularly in premium and leisure segments.
