Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to take strict action against irregularities in land lease allotments, warning that leases granted in exchange for money will not be tolerated. The instructions were issued during a Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, where he heard grievances from around 200 citizens. The Chief Minister stressed transparency and fairness in land allocation, especially in cases involving the poor and marginalised, and ordered time-bound investigations to fix accountability. He also addressed issues related to crime control, welfare scheme delivery, healthcare access and financial support under the Mass Marriage Scheme, reinforcing the state's focus on responsive governance and clean land administration.

Uttar Pradesh Shri Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered strict action against irregularities in land lease allocations, warning that any allotments made in exchange for money would not be tolerated, the state government said.

The directives came during a Janata Darshan event held at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, where the CM personally interacted with around 200 citizens and reviewed their grievances. Officials said Adityanath emphasised the importance of ensuring transparency and fairness in land lease processes, particularly in cases involving the poor and marginalised.

During the interaction, the chief minister instructed government officers to initiate immediate investigations into complaints of land lease discrepancies and to fix accountability wherever irregularities are uncovered. He urged a time-bound and effective response to citizen complaints to restore trust in administrative procedures.

In addition to land lease issues, Adityanath addressed other public concerns, directing police officials to take firm action against criminal offenders and insisting that eligible beneficiaries receive welfare scheme benefits without delay. He also approved financial assistance under the state's Mass Marriage Scheme for a family in need and assured that no patient would be denied medical care due to lack of funds.

The chief minister's comments reflect a broader focus on governance reforms and accountability in land administration, aligning with recent state efforts against corruption and irregular practices in property allocations and leases.
