Blue Dart Express logged its busiest day ever in July 2025, moving over 14,000 tonnes of cargo nationwide within a 24-hour period, according to its annual delivery trends report titled India on the Move 2025. The milestone reflects heightened logistics demand and operational scale, supported by 20 days during the year when shipment volumes were nearly double the daily average. Tier-2 cities contributed significantly to growth, driving a roughly 60 per cent increase in activity and accounting for more than half of new customer activations and shipment expansion. Over the full year, Blue Dart delivered about 47 million secured parcels and covered more than 2 billion kilometres by road, highlighting the depth of its logistics network. The report also noted extensive handling of temperature-sensitive and critical shipments, alongside rapid digital onboarding for businesses.
Blue Dart Express has reported record-breaking logistics activity in 2025, with its busiest single day in July when more than 14,000 tonnes of shipments were moved across India in just 24 hours, according to the company's newly released India on the Move 2025 annual delivery trends report.
The logistics provider, part of the DHL Group, said its network also saw 20 days during the year where shipment volumes doubled compared with daily averages, underscoring rising demand pressure across segments. Growth was notably driven by increased contributions from tier-2 cities, which registered approximately a 60 per cent surge in activity and accounted for over half of new customer activations and shipment growth in 2025.
Throughout the year, Blue Dart delivered around 47 million secured parcels nationwide, reflecting both consumer and business logistics needs. Its road network logged more than 2 billion kilometres, supported by about 399,000 square metres of logistics infrastructure operating around the clock. The company's reach extended to remote locations such as Leh in Ladakh, at 3,500 metres above sea level, and included handling extreme cold-chain consignments, such as liquid nitrogen shipments at temperatures as low as 196°C for veterinary vaccines.
The report highlighted the depth of Blue Dart's logistics capabilities, including handling temperature-sensitive cargo like insulin, medicines and advanced biological materials under controlled conditions. Rapid digital onboarding, with shipping accounts activated in about 90 seconds, also featured as a key enabler, helping businesses access services quickly and efficiently.
