Oriental Hotels Ltd has reported a notable rise in its financial performance, driven by strong demand in its key markets of Chennai and Cochin. The company recorded revenue of INR 140.56 crore for the quarter, marking a 15 per cent increase from INR 122.05 crore in the same period last year.

EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation) for the quarter stood at INR 43.35 crore, up from INR 34.88 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Profit After Tax (PAT) also saw significant growth, rising 45 per cent to INR 20.23 crore, compared to INR 13.99 crore in the previous year's same quarter.

In a company statement, Managing Director and CEO Pramod Ranjan highlighted that the strong demand in Chennai and Cochin is expected to continue, contributing to double-digit revenue growth in the ongoing fiscal year. Oriental Hotels Ltd operates seven properties, including Taj Coromandel, Chennai; Taj Fisherman's Cove Resort and Spa, Chennai; Taj Malabar Resort, Cochin; Vivanta Coimbatore; Vivanta Mangalore; Gateway Madurai; and Gateway Coonoor. The company is an associate of The Indian Hotels Company Ltd.

The recent growth follows a period of recovery in the hospitality sector, with Oriental Hotels leveraging its strategic presence in high-demand urban and leisure destinations. The company's diverse portfolio across metro cities and key tourist locations has helped it maintain occupancy levels and revenue growth despite broader market uncertainties.
