Synopsis

Chandak Group has marked 40 years of operations in Mumbai's residential real estate market by launching #Mission4000Trees, a tree plantation initiative focused on enhancing the city's green cover. Instead of a traditional anniversary celebration, the developer undertook a large-scale plantation drive at its Chandak Treesourus project in Malad West, where 4,000 saplings were planted. The initiative reflects the company's stated emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility alongside urban development. The plantation drive was designed as a community-led effort involving residents and stakeholders, and also highlighted the group's approach to integrating open spaces and greenery within residential projects in densely populated parts of Mumbai.

Chandak Group has completed 40 years in Mumbai's residential real estate sector and marked the milestone with the launch of #Mission4000Trees, a large-scale tree plantation initiative aimed at strengthening the city's green cover. The initiative was announced earlier this week as part of the company's efforts to align its anniversary with an environmental objective rather than a conventional celebration.

The flagship plantation drive was organised at Chandak Treesourus in Malad West, where 4,000 saplings were planted. The activity was carried out as a community-led effort, involving residents, stakeholders and future homeowners from the surrounding area. According to the company, the initiative was intended to contribute to Mumbai's urban canopy and promote awareness around environmental responsibility in high-density neighbourhoods.

A spokesperson from Chandak Group said the company chose to mark its 40-year milestone through an initiative that creates long-term value for the city. The spokesperson stated that the plantation drive reflects the group's view that sustainability is a long-term responsibility and that residential development should be aligned with the creation of a healthier urban environment for future generations.

The initiative also drew attention to Chandak Treesourus, a residential development in Malad West that reflects the company's stated focus on integrating nature within urban housing. The project includes two and three-bedroom homes with sun decks and is surrounded by about 3.5 acres of open spaces. Located in one of Mumbai's densely populated suburbs, the development has been planned to incorporate green areas as part of its layout.

Chandak Treesourus also includes a range of lifestyle amenities, such as an infinity pool and a sky lounge, as part of its residential offering. The company said the project represents its approach to balancing built-up space with open and landscaped areas.

Chandak Group stated that #Mission4000Trees was conceived as more than a corporate activity, with the objective of encouraging shared responsibility towards the environment among local communities. Through the initiative, the developer said it aimed to give back to the city that has supported its growth while reinforcing its long-term commitment to sustainability in Mumbai's real estate landscape.
