RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has been awarded an annual maintenance contract (AMC) worth INR 140.71 crore by the Ministry of Defence. This AMC award adds to RailTel's existing portfolio of government and infrastructure service contracts. As of November 2025, the company's total order book was around INR 8,251 crore, highlighting a strong pipeline of projects. Following the announcement, RailTel's shares rose by 1.92%, trading at INR 333.65, reflecting investor confidence in the company's ability to deliver long-term government service projects.
The contract aligns with ongoing trends in defence sector contracting, where the Ministry of Defence is investing in maintaining and upgrading critical services and infrastructure. While the focus of this contract is maintenance services rather than capital equipment, it demonstrates the importance of reliable technology and service partners in supporting India's defence framework.
