Synopsis

EPC major Ceigall India has secured an INR 550 crore solar power project under the PM-KUSUM Yojana, strengthening its presence in India's renewable energy sector. Awarded by Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, the project involves setting up 130 MW of grid-connected solar PV capacity across two districts in the state. The contract covers end-to-end responsibilities including design, engineering, construction, commissioning and long-term operations. With an 18-month execution timeline followed by a 25-year operational period backed by a power purchase agreement, the project supports Madhya Pradesh's clean energy goals and national targets for decentralised solar generation.

Ceigall India has marked a significant milestone in its renewable energy journey with the award of a large solar EPC contract valued at approximately INR 550 crore, including taxes, in Madhya Pradesh. The project has been awarded by Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for the development of solar photovoltaic power generating stations with a combined capacity of 130 MW under the PM-KUSUM Yojana.

The project falls under the C component of the scheme, which focuses on setting up decentralised, grid-connected solar plants to strengthen clean energy adoption in rural and semi-urban areas. The scope of work includes comprehensive responsibilities such as design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and operation of the solar power plants across two districts in the state.

The execution period for the project has been fixed at 18 months, following which Ceigall India will undertake operations and maintenance for a long tenure of 25 years. The operational phase will be supported by a long-term power purchase agreement that ensures stable revenue visibility from the scheduled commercial operation date.

According to the company, securing this order reinforces its growing capabilities in delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. The project is expected to contribute meaningfully to Madhya Pradesh's renewable energy roadmap while also supporting farmers and local communities through clean and sustainable power generation.

The PM-KUSUM scheme, launched in 2019, aims to add 34,800 MW of solar capacity by March 2026, with a strong emphasis on decentralised and farmer-centric energy solutions. By participating in this initiative, Ceigall India aligns itself with national priorities focused on energy security, emissions reduction and sustainable development.

With this latest win, the company continues to diversify its EPC portfolio beyond conventional infrastructure, positioning itself as an active contributor to India's transition towards a cleaner and more resilient energy ecosystem.
