Synopsis

Indian Hotels Company Ltd is set to enter the Vellore hospitality market with the development of a 100-key Vivanta hotel, marking its first project in the city. The greenfield venture is being undertaken in partnership with BBK Group. Positioned to cater to Vellore's growing education and industrial ecosystem, the upcoming hotel will feature contemporary design, dining, meeting and banqueting facilities, strengthening the city's evolving hospitality landscape.

Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has announced plans to establish its first hotel in Vellore with the launch of a 100-key Vivanta-branded property. The project will be developed as a greenfield venture in collaboration with BBK Group, a family-owned enterprise with interests in leather, footwear and allied businesses.

The proposed Vivanta Vellore is being positioned to serve the city's expanding base of educational institutions and industrial activity, supported by improving connectivity and urban infrastructure. Vellore's inclusion under the national Smart Cities Mission has further enhanced its attractiveness as an emerging hospitality destination.

Designed with a contemporary aesthetic, the hotel will feature vibrant public spaces and a range of amenities, including an all-day dining restaurant, multiple meeting rooms and a banquet hall with a total area of over 2,500 sq ft. The development is expected to cater to business travellers, academic visitors and social events, adding organised hospitality capacity to the district.

With this signing, IHCL continues to expand its footprint across emerging urban centres, while BBK Group enters the organised hospitality segment through its association with the Vivanta brand. The project is expected to contribute to Vellore's growing profile as a regional hub for education, industry and business travel.
