Haryana has achieved a significant milestone in its digital property reforms by completing 50,000 paperless property registrations, marking a shift towards streamlined, technology-driven land record management. Under the state's e-registration initiative, buyers and sellers can complete property registrations online, reducing paperwork, enhancing transparency and cutting turnaround times. The government said the increase in digital registrations reflects strong adoption of the system and its benefits for stakeholders, including reduced costs and improved ease of doing business. Authorities have indicated further enhancements to the platform to integrate additional services and expand paperless transactions across all districts, reinforcing the state's commitment to modernising land administration.
The Government of Haryana has announced the successful completion of 50,000 paperless property registrations under its digital e-registration initiative, marking a key milestone in the state's efforts to modernise land transaction processes.
Under the paperless registration system, property buyers and sellers can complete registration formalities entirely online, eliminating the need for physical paperwork. The move is aimed at enhancing transparency, reducing administrative delays and improving the overall ease of property transactions in the state.
Officials said the achievement reflects growing adoption of the digital platform by citizens and industry stakeholders. The shift to paperless registrations is expected to streamline processes, cut turnaround times and reduce costs associated with conventional documentation.
The e-registration system forms part of the state government's broader strategy to incorporate technology into land record management and property services. Authorities have noted that the digital platform's success will support further integration of related services, such as payment of stamp duty and verification of documents, into a seamless online workflow.
Haryana has been progressively enhancing its digital infrastructure to improve governance and facilitate ease of doing business. The expansion of paperless property registrations across multiple districts underscores the government's commitment to leveraging technology for more efficient land administration.
Officials said further enhancements are planned to increase the scope and functionality of the online registration system, making it more user-centric and accessible across the state. They emphasised that continued digital adoption will benefit both residential and commercial property markets by simplifying compliance and reducing friction in transaction processes.
