The company, which already operates a manufacturing plant in Rajpura and has a turnover of about INR 10,000 crore, has received assurances of quick approvals from the Punjab government.
Amber Enterprises is set to establish a research and development centre in Rajpura, Punjab, with an investment of INR 500 crore, according to Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora. The proposed facility will focus on research and design related to air-conditioning and HVAC systems, an area where the company already has a strong manufacturing presence.
Arora said Amber Enterprises manufactures air conditioners for several brands and has an annual turnover of around INR 10,000 crore. He added that the state government has assured the company that all required approvals for the project will be granted within 15 days of submitting the application, indicating a push to facilitate industrial investments in the region.
Amber Enterprises Chief Executive Officer Jasbir Singh said the company already operates a manufacturing plant in Rajpura and plans to build the new R&D centre at the same location. He explained that the project will be developed in two phases, with the total investment amounting to INR 500 crore.
Singh further stated that construction work for the centre is expected to begin in January or February this year. During the first phase, the company plans to recruit about 500 engineers. The team will work on research and design development for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning solutions for multiple brands.
He noted that the Rajpura facility is being planned as one of India's leading design centres in the HVAC segment. The expansion builds on Amber Enterprises existing footprint in Punjab and aligns with its broader strategy to strengthen in-house design and innovation capabilities. Over the years, the company has steadily expanded its manufacturing and component base across India, supporting both domestic demand and export-oriented production.
