Synopsis

Units of Anantam Highways Trust saw a strong start after listing on the BSE and NSE, reflecting solid investor interest in infrastructure assets. On the BSE, the units opened above the issue price, surged to a high of INR 114, and closed at INR 104.98, up nearly 5%. On the NSE, the units listed at INR 103 and ended at INR 105.37, gaining over 5%. The trust, set up to own and operate road assets in India, had a well-subscribed INR 400-crore IPO, with proceeds intended for infrastructure projects, debt repayment, and corporate requirements.

Units of Anantam Highways Trust made a notable debut on the stock exchanges, showing strong demand from investors for infrastructure-related assets. On the BSE, the units started trading at INR 103.02, a 3% increase over the issue price of INR 100 per unit. During the session, prices rose sharply to INR 114 before closing at INR 104.98, reflecting a gain of 4.98%.

On the NSE, the units listed at INR 103, marking an initial 3% rise, and finished the day at INR 105.37, up 5.37% from the issue price. After listing, the trust's market capitalization stood at around INR 2,283.32 crore.

Anantam Highways Trust is an infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) established to invest in, own, and operate road assets across India. The INR 400-crore IPO was priced in the band of INR 98-100 per unit and received strong response, being subscribed 5.62 times on the final day of bidding. The funds raised are planned to support ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects, repay existing debt, and meet general corporate requirements.

The debut of Anantam Highways Trust reflects growing investor confidence in InvITs, which offer access to steady income streams from operational infrastructure assets. Over the past few years, InvITs have become an important channel for developers and operators to monetize road and highway projects, while providing retail and institutional investors with a regulated investment avenue in infrastructure.

The trust's listing is also part of a broader trend in India, where public investment in road infrastructure has been increasing steadily. Investors have shown consistent interest in instruments that combine capital growth with regular income, making InvITs a significant segment in India's financial markets.
